The title of this thread is not mine, but is the name Dr. Guenadiy Lazarov gave to his talk :From designing photonic crystals to accordions. The YouTube link is below. On another thread on this forum, we talked about other interests that we all have besides accordion playing . Maybe there are a few nuclear physicists here, but Guenadiy is one with a lot of patents, and hes also the owner of The Accordion Gallery in New Jersey. He sold me my Iorio accordion. Hes a pretty phenomenal player, and is one of the few really skilled tuners and technicians left in the U.S.
I thought you might be interested in watching this. The accordion part starts at 21:15, but the physics part is also really interesting, and will give you insight into how he approaches accordion work.
All the best,

that's cool stuff

one day I want to design and build my own accordion prototypes

Hi Eddy,

My current situation would not allow me to watch your video in its entirety, but I saw enough to satisfy my curiosity.

Happiness means different things to different people, though personal attitude is probably the biggest and most important factor.

For Brenda and I, humour is the key to happiness. We spend our days taking whatever fun we can find; rarely missing an opportunity to exploit humorous situations.

Brenda is not currently able to fully participate, but she still very much appreciates my comical endeavours. That is happiness.

Kind Regards,

Stephen.

I also understand the value of humor. People, especially my wife, have been laughing at me for years. I don’t care and will plod along with the things I really want to do as long as I’m able.

Jozz! I want a 41-key, 72 bass, 3-voice box painted candy-apple red. Or cougar puke green. Either one.
Best of luck with getting to your goals!
