I've been playing accordion since the early 70's. Put it away for about 15 years and picked it back up recently, purchased a new Roland and am loving life!!!!!
I accidently ran across my old "Complete Hanon for the Accordion" by Charles Nunzio. The last dated entry from my teacher was 12/1/1973. I am not a classical player, I prefer contemporary music - but I am loving playing these songs!!! WOW! What a difference it's making in my runs in the songs I do play. My speed and dexterity has really improved! Now, the first thing I do when I pick up my accordion is to play these songs and then move on to my "normal" song routine.
What a great book to use to get the old fingers going again!!!!
Now to find the music book that I was actually looking for that had "Alley Cat" and "Mint Julep" in it. Two of my favorites from way back when.
