Having recently been obliged to switch to CBC I have been enjoying learning with a Welsh tunes group. This is usually repeated twice, the last tune at a session, Glance meddwodod mwyn. This seems to be a mystery tune in terms of background but translates as ‘Lovely mellow tipsiness’ or ‘good humoured and fairly tipsy, which is appropriate after a few bevies. It probably first dates back to 1824 at an Eisteddford in Welshpool Powys.

Well played Alun, very nice. Sounds like you're doing great on the chromatic. There are so many lovely Welsh tunes. Rhisiart Annwyl is a current favourite of mine.

I'd played Pant Corlan yr Wyn with the extra bar in the B music for years before playing it in a session at Tredegar Folk Festival. I asked about the extension and other players said "but of course, it fits the words" which they then sang, in Welsh of course.
