For those of you that follow the Yahoo Roland website or are owners of the new FR-8x you might know of complaints of the new model not coming with bellows straps installed and complaints of bass machine vibrations. This morning at Falcetti Music Inc. I was successful in eliminating the vibration problems with the bass machine and the process will be shown to Roland at the NAMM show this week. Bellows straps were installed on a new FR-8x and work and look just fine. If you are interested in the procedure I used and pictures E- Mail me at

As Jim D. mentioned before, the FR8X doesn't come with bellows straps. That seems so chinzy to me on the part of Roland, since I would think most people would want them. Interestingly, another site that has accordionists/keyboardists on it mentioned that accordionists on Yahoo think the move out of Italy might be good for the Roland accordion line. Seems some are thinking the "design team" in Italy are preventing Roland from visualizing and developing a truly digital modern accordion. I thought that was what the FR8X was, but they're implying the Roland Japan team might be better with the future designs and technology combined, despite Italy's long accordion culture. I certainly don't have a good handle on this, but thought that discussion was interesting.
