Hello,
if someone know where to get expansion sounds files for FR-4XB-BK, I saw ones but couldn't locate any more, it was on sale for $150.If someone used can u please share experience. Thanks Sani.

Thanks John. If you have the Richard Noel or Dale Mathis sounds, is there value in downloading and installing the additiobal free Roland sets (Fr4)?

You need to have the free expansion sound sets loaded first. This is where the different sounds exist to create a User Program. After I bought the Ricard Noel program banks for my 8X, Richard contacted me as to which expansion sets I had. My 8X had three (Dallape, Alpine, and AccOrchestra. The 8X has capability for four expansion sound sets. He sent me the Balkan expansion set to load first and then sent me the program banks. I don't know how to tell what sets you have on the 4X, but on the 8X, a screen appears (you have to be quick) on powering up that displays what sets are in the accordion. I believe Richard has different User Programs depending on which expansion sound sets you have. Each time you call a User Program up, the Roland "looks" to see what sounds are needed and gets what is needed from the "Expansion" area of the accordion.

The Richard Noel sounds depend on having the Roland expansion sets. I don’t know about the Dale Mathis sets except that they were only available with the purchase of an FR-4x from Sun City Music, which closed, and now with the purchase of an FR-4x from Kraft Music.

FR-8x owners, by the way, can also purchase sets by Michael Bridge. These will also work with the Bugari EVO, and are available from Petosa Accordions. Also available fro Petosa Accordions are two collections of sounds from Tris Gour, but they are not advertised as suitable for the EVO.

just curious.. wouldn't that be rather unfair to Mr. Noel ?

unless he has specifically licensed the re-sale of his product to the original customer
that could be considered unlawful, as well as soliciting his customer to commit an unlawful act

I really don't know what u mean,if some customers decide to buy share product, this is illegal?

Perhaps not strictly illegal but certainly unethical.

Sani,

I would suggest you wait a while, save up some money until you get the $150.00 and then buy the programs from Richard Noel. For the FR-8X, he supplies 30 program banks with 14 programs in each bank. That's 420 User Programs. If you ever you ever looked into what is involved in creating a User Program you would be amazed. We are fortunate to have someone like Richard Noel that took many many hours to develop the programs. We need to support him by buying his product so that he can continue making them available for others.
