Hello
Just remembered this site and not been on for along time.
I have a Roland fr-3x.
Sometime ago (so details are vague), I tried changing one of my tabs from electric piano sound to mandolin sound.
From memory, I had to save it to a file (I forget the file type as I write) but the file didn’t seem compatible with my laptop.
I am not tekky gifted.
If any of you know exactly how to do this and are bored 😐😂, would you mind offering me a step by step idiots guide how to do it?
Please note I’ve seen the YouTube videos but somehow something always doesn’t finish the process.
Any help would in fact be very much appreciated.

Hi Andy,
I'm sure someone will be along soon to answer your question in detail, but I think you open the Roland Editor for the Fr3 and take it from there. It's a while since I've done it but I seem to remember all the insructions needed are given.
I also have an Fr3xb and I would dearly love to get shot of that awful trumpet abomination in the orchestral bank, but I haven't delved deeply enough in the manuals to find out how or, if it is possible. Best of luck :)

The files are proprietary and are likely not going to be recognized by any app other than anything created by Roland. I'd suggest visiting the Roland.com website and downloading their manuals and editor to help you get a start.

Hello
Thanks for your reply. I’ve been on the Roland editing app, but for some reason my newly selected sound does not take place of the sound I do not want.
