George Garside kindly offered to meet up for a natter & a play with anyone in the Anglesey, Wales area.

I would always be happy to hook up with other forum members for a mini-session too, esp outside term time! Reigate, Surrey.

Likewise, The Hague (Den Haag) The Netherlands.

Good idea Anyanka. Even if its not to play with each other. Its good to know for any help and advice on accordion matters in which members can meet up to solve problems and even exchange music and any bits and pieces, music stands, etc. I have stacks of music for Piiano, banjo and accordion..

In the unlikely event that there is anyone else on the forum who lives in or around Houston, Texas, I'm usually glad to get together for a little accordionistic fun!!!!

Looking for members in Toronto, Canada.

Hi,
First time I have dared to reply to a post.
I am from Wallasey, Merseyside, I would also be pleased to meet up with local accordion players.
I for a long time thought that there were no players around, but fortunately saw an advert for the Liscard (Wallasey) Accordion Club, we meet at at 7pm every Tuesday and play for 3 hours, which is a little daunting for a novice.
I would also like to get in touch with local players who possibly don't feel able to commit to a weekly club.
If there is anyone out there please reply.
Thank you for reading this.

Well said Barry, if I lived a little nearer Wallasey I would join you.

Thank you Pete for your kind reply, I have edited my post, which I should have done before I sent it.
Still finding my way around the forum.

Or Walthamstow, Northeast London. I'm about during the day, quite often.

Same here - Cardiff! Although it must be said, I am a rank amateur, and my 72 bass is arriving tomorrow :p I do have a degree in music though, so I'm not tone deaf :p

Burnley here, just need to find more places to play. Currently play once a month at a little pub in Worsthorne, Lancashire but thats not enough to get going with.

We have first Fridays events at my shop a couple of times a year in Oakland California. I will post the next time I have one.

hi,

Not sure if this will go anywhere as it is my first time on any sort of forum but here goes.

My name is Dave and I play a Bugari armando Seniorfisa 37/96 in a Gaelic Folk Rock Band. I live on the outskirts of Sheffield in England and would love to start online conversations with like minded accordion people. Any offers?

Hi Dave, and welcome, Sheffield is that bit too far away from West Yorkshire, but there are lots of accordionists in the Sheffield/Barnsley area who may read this forum.

Thanks Pete,

Been to Sheffield Accordion Club once or twice in fact went last week - there were 4 people there - what a shame.
What is your involvement with the instrument? Mine started when I was 15 so 50 years ago.
My band can be found at suppered.org if you want to have a look.

I'd love to find other accordion players in southern Maryland, USA!

Hi Again Dave, Gosh Im shocked there were only 4 at Sheffield Accordion Club. Ive never been myself, but one of my senior playing friends has long connections there and I had been led to believe it was a thriving club. Another club near here at Wetherby packed in recently due to lack of members and Ive spoken to someone else from Middlesborough this week where the same is happening. I play with two outfits which are not clubs but bands, the Bradford Accordion Band and the Craven Accordion Orchestra, which are based about 12 miles apart, both of which have around twenty members and are well attended most weeks so I suppose we can consider ourselves lucky.

Pete
