Excelsior 303 - Age?

Hello!

First time poster, thank you for accepting me into your forum!

I am seeking some information on the estimated age of the below accordion.
I recently purchased this Excelsior 303 from a second hand shop. I began playing accordion about 2-3 months ago and quickly outgrew the baby 8 bass I was playing with.
This Excelsior plays beautifully and is the perfect accordion for me right now, however I am very curious about its age - I am doing some research on the previous owner from a name that was written on the case and would love to know when they purchased this instrument. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome! The criteria for getting accepted into this forum is pretty strict. I think you need the Internet.

Love Excelsiors! Especially older models, and that's most certainly what you have. I have a 1980's era one and this appears to be older. Jim D. or Ventura will be able to pinpoint it much closer to the actual year.

Looks like you need a backpad for that instrument! It pains me to think about playing it naked (that came out wrong).
