Could someone please tell me how to change the internal EQ settings on a Roland 4x?
I don't know if you have the 4X Reference manual. If you don't, go to the Roland website and download it -- it's free.Thank you so much. Could you please tell me how to get to the Accordion Edit or Orchestra Edit Mode.
While I haven't fooled with it, and I do know it is a lot easier if you use the Roland 4x Editor that you can download from Roland (it requires you have JAVA), but on the accordion itself if you go to the System menu on the 4x and scroll through the system menu items, you will come to the right and left hand EQ settings. You will find the settings for different frequencies, low, mid, and high among other things, etc. Yes, they are there, play around with them if you want.Could someone please tell me how to change the internal EQ settings on a Roland 4x?
I'm almost there, you would think after owning a piano and organ store for 15 years this would be second nature! However, how do I get to the system menu? Not sure if you are aware of this, but Roland makes PDF manuals available for the 4x to download for free? Just google Roland FR-4x pdf manuals download.I'm almost there, you would think after owning a piano and organ store for 15 years this would be second nature! System Settings (System)
Here you can make system settings for the FR-4x.
These settings apply to all sets and all parts; they apply to the
entire FR-4x.
The parameters can be saved to the System area.
See “Selecting Parameters” (p. 44) for how to select and adjust
the parameters.
Introduction to System Parameters
The settings you perform here apply to all Set and all sections.
NOTE
The FR-4x internal memory (temporary area) remembers your settings
while the FR-4x is switched on. While editing, there is no absolute need
to save your settings. Be aware, however, that all changes are lost when
the FR-4x is switched off .
See “How to Save a Set” (p. 33) to save your changes.
Also be sure to read “Important Remark About Saving Your
Settings” (p. 45).

As Jerry said, "Download the PDF manuals for the 4X". There are two -- The Reference Manual and the Owner's Manual.

As Jerry said, "Download the PDF manuals for the 4X". There are two -- The Reference Manual and the Owner's Manual.
1) press the menu/write button
2) keep pressing the right arrow button (looks like a right facing triangle) until the display says System
3) Press the Enter/Yes button, bringing you to the Tuning screen
4) Keep pressing the right arrow button until you get SpEQ R.H. which is for the right hand EQ section
5) Press the Enter/Yes button and you will be where you want. By the pressing the right arrow button, it will take you to the various right hand eq parameters. If you want to change any of the values, use the + and - buttons.
Notes: To change the left hand EQ values use the same steps above but in step 4 keep going until you reach the left EQ section.
Jerry's advice, great a s always, if you don't have a user manual, download it from Roland's site.
An remember, if want any changes you make to be permanent, you have to save the system settings before turning off the 4X
