So I am shopping for some different straps (both shoulder and bass) for my new Victoria as what came with it are too wide for me and giving me issues.

I tried my local shop, but they didnt have anything I liked. I have also tried the factory, but am tired of trying to chase them around on getting something. (and not knowing what I am getting)

At any rate I have come across some DLuca straps that look like they may work, but I have not been able to tell if they make a bass strap as well.
Does anyone know anything about these?

I really like the color scheme that I currently have (which is a chocolate leather and a light tan felt) but I think the light tan and black would look good on it too.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Well first of all - What model and size of Victoria do you have ?? New Victoria accordions come with appropriate fine made Italcinte straps unless they were replaced before you received it. An after market bass strap will have to be cut to size, riveted, and installed.

It is the Poeta a420vp with the factory straps that are I believe the 304a shoulder (3 1/4" wide) and the 306b (3 1/4" wide) bass straps and while the are fine straps, they are not right for me.

For the shoulder straps I have taken some smaller ones off another accordion that have gabbanelli label on them (it was previously in Texas before I purchased it) that are 2 1/2" wide but all black and they work better for me as shoulder straps. While looking through the italcinte catalog I did not see a similar size of strap (2" seems to be standard) and was thinking this may be a different manufacturer and possibly the one that made the gabbanelli straps...

For the bass side. I realize that the bass will have to be removed, and there will be work with the new bass strap. I have done this type of thing before. It actually looks easier on this accordion as all they did was to screw the bass strap into a wood block on the side of the accordion from the factory.
What is happening is that the 3 1/4" bass strap is holding my left hand in the wrong position and aggravating some arthritis in my thumb joint. This doesn't happen on any of my others that all have 2" bass straps.

Thanks but i think i will keep shopping. Not looking for basic black color, and kind of want the bass strap to match.
I know I am being picky and will probably end up having something custom made.

D'luca is in our list of Chinese accordion manufacturers. I don't know that means the straps are Chinese made or indeed what that may mean in terms of quality.
