Here’s my rendition of Conquest of Paradise by Vangelis on the free bass accordion.
Yes. There's a lot of scope for orchestration. I like simple tunes like this that are very catchy. I have only been playing it for about 30 minutes. That syncopated marching drum rhythm is something that I plan to add to the left hand rhythm.Dear Joseph , thank you for sharing ..........................."..Conquest of Paradise " is made into a wonderful piece of music my the Unique drum pattern that Vangelis used thats what binds and holds the music together and makes it sound so good
1) have you seen the Film ? Conquest of Paradise ( 1492) if not watch and listen !!
2) watch youtube Andre Rieu and his Orchestra ........also shows what can be done with this really basic simple tune .. and great accomps backing of drums .into a great theme tune !! and is a ( SHOW STOPPER )

I wanted to post this because I was pleased at how well it sounded for such a simple arrangement.
