I do not play my Marinucci that much these days but I do note that the notes of some areas on the keyboard (not all), feel like they bed down onto solid wood rather than any soft material.
This makes a "clack" sound which doesn't harm the playing but does detract from the music (in my ears anyway).
is it easy to solve this?
I assume hat over the years some form of insulating layer has simply been compressed to nothing and needs replacing.
Will I need to remove all keys to do this of is here a trick to the whole affair?

Itll be the strip of felt behind the keys either compressed or missing. On some Hohners its easy cos the keys come out individually and you can replace the individual felts.
I suspect like most Italian boxes theyre on a spindle which may be a faff to get out, and even bigger faff to get back in.
http://www.accordionrevival.com/ACCORDION_REPAIR1.php#Freeing_sticking_keys there is a pic showing individual green felt pads in this section and more about removing the spindles.
See what Jim/Theo says.. they may be more familiar with Marinuccis.

Hi Glenn; Ed is quite correct on this one. You will find the felt cushion pads under the keyboard have dislodged and need replacement. JIM D.
