What a wonderful find, this quad tone chamber!
With this design all reeds for each note are in a tone chamber in the same order. This eliminates the timbre/sound differences you get with a regular double cassotto where notes on the front block in cassotto do not sound the same as notes on the rear block. This difference is often small, but when you have three reed blocks in cassotto as with large button accordions you do clearly hear the difference between the first block and the third block.
I wonder why this design did not catch on. It looks like a great original design.
