Autumn leaves, a classic that leaves (sic) much to the interpretation.
It can be played in a million and one ways.
Do you think this tune is one suitable for Tune of the Month?

Frank Morrocco and the FR7x, ones I enjoyed.[the most].In another forum I was in,I mentioned the late great Pete Boorman's effort.[at the Uxbridge acc. club some years ago].He came in with an intro played on the Piccolo reeds on the Stradella bass.Tried it myself but cannot get it like he did.His sound remains in my mind yet.

I love the song, but to my mind the Eva Cassidy version is the best! Do you know of any accordion versions that more resemble her version?

Well I wouldn't say the best. That's like saying cheese is better than chocolate or a cello is better than a church organ.
To me they are different things. Eva's interpretation is as far removed from the original intent as a jazz version. Equally beautiful and equally inventive.
I think Eva's style is very well reporoducible with a nice, dry sounding accordion. Make this the song of the month and who knows what we will get.
