Hohner Twenty L.
This is a Hohner model I don’t recall seeing before. Was it perhaps intended for the North American market? It’s an incredible ‘full size’ (41/120) instrument shrunk into a body with a 16” keyboard and all weighing less than 16lbs. It’s here for a ‘tidy up’. The faded/locally worn gold sparkle finish and missing treble grille trims are going to be a challenge.HohnerTwentyL.jpg

Never seen this model either. it does not appear in the popular Hohner model list. I guess the "L" refers to ladies size, but I could be mistaken.
Since the grille trims are made of what is now "unobtainium" I would suggest you move the two in the center to the side and come up with something for the center, or else move the leftmost one to the right and come up with something alternative for the first and last one...

Paul, as always, helpful. Thanks. I also have my eye on the two identical strips which are nearest the keys for possible replacements as these are not so prominent as the two missing on the front of the grill.
I see a number of these for sale in America.

Must be North American as I have seen a few of those listed here over the years.

Thanks All. From the comments it would seem it was a model aimed at the North American market. No mention of age range is noted.
The one passed to me for tidy up/overhaul, sadly, has turned out to be a classic example of the hazards buying a 2nd hand accordion without a proper inspection. The wax has hardened and even although the reeds are pinned as well some have managed to break away. Though the valves look in fair condition it would seem prudent that they are included in any overhaul as the reeds will need removal and cleaning anyway.
The reed lying on top is from the treble end.
