Accordion tuning, repair and parts in the UK?

Hello everyone,

I imagine this has been asked before. I had a look around and tried several searches but was unable to find much.

Is there a list somewhere of people who offer remedial and full re-tuning and repair and or parts in the UK?

I don’t know of a list but I can recommend Gordon Pattullo just outside Dundee. He did a fab job on my 41 year old Paolo Soprani piano accordion, giving it its first ever retune and also reattaching all the valves etc. Lovely chap, and used by many professional musicians.

I'd second colinm's recommendation of CGM for parts. I think you could probably find local help just along the road in Inverness. There's music shops there and also an Accordion and Fiddle Club who I would expect would be helpful. There's a lot of repairers further south in the central belt but 2-3 hours away of course.

In Inverness, Norman English, Tom Cruickshank or Murray Balfour should be able to help...in Aberdeen, try Charlie Abel...
CGM's postal service is excellent if you know what you need and are happy to do the work yourself...
