Accordion Restoration Tales ?

As some of you know I have aquired a vintage italian accordion (Pancotti)

Has anyone any general experiences to share - good,bad,neutral - on restoration

I am aware of the accordion revival website which i have got top of the to do list (there seems to be a lot on there which would take quite a while to read)

i am particularly interested to know if there are particular skills required in restoring italian p/a's v p/a's in general
