Hi I`ve posted in the hello newbie section and I have actually joined to get good help and advice here for a family member who plays.
They have an old Hohner Arietta, thats about 70 years old or so ? and has some key and bass button issues but also problems with some bellow release.
They ( and I ) are not sure if its worth getting a total and long term overhaul done but it is a family memeber instrument so would like to really.
Ita hard to know if its worth getting it done big time and fully or if they should buy say a new lower end Italian one or a just still german made older one.
For now they can play as another family member very kindly bought them a new Startone 72 and it will keep them going for now.
Yes after the sighing and so on has gone down, I know its from China, but it was a surprise gift so will do them for now, and maybe longer we hope.
I am just a family listener, who can`t play, but enjoys the music very much.
Anyway we we were wondering, if there is an affordable fixer in the NE of England UK please.
Or suggestions and ideas etc please too.
I`m not so sure we are looking for a proper commercial one ( maybe we should ? ) but maybe a gifted and good back garden shed person who is really good and self taught etc might be best.
So I supose its an advice or and anyone know of someone either way please.
Or if you are someone our way who can possibly do it evern better, and please drop us a contact or message.
Many Thanks Mark.
