Hi

I am looking for some information please I brought an Accordian from Poland with my mother over 40 years and I am curious about the badge ( Picture attached ) also it as a sticker on the back. My son has started playing it and I would like to know more information.

Hi Frey,

The accordion is a Weltmeister, as per the badge, and was probably made in Klingenthal in the former DDR. The sticker indicates the name of the seller in Leipzig in the same country. Weltmeister is a well respected accordion manufacturer, who is still in business today, but I don't really know very much about the company history.

It may be helpful to post a picture showing the treble registers (switches on the right hand side of the instrument) so that a more accurate assessment can be made of the model, with regard to quality etc. Some forum members should be able to give you more info if you do that.
