Hi all,
, Just joined your forum, and it seems like a great place to be. I used to play a bit of piano accordion some 40 odd years ago but never carried on with it. My father bought me a 32 bass Sarrento accordion, and although he could play well, for some reason he only showed me the 1 1v and the v chords. I did not even realise what they were but i knew they blended in well with most of the songs i could play. I had no idea what all the other buttons were. I just knew some of them sounded awful and there was no way they could ever be used........
After some research lately, i realise what all these buttons are on the Stradella base. No wonder the chords blended. And those awful sounding ones turn out to be minor chords believe it or not
. I play keyboard and chromatic harmonica. I just cannot get on with those diatonic ones that have some of the notes missing :?:
Anyway, back to the present. I have just purchased a 72 bass Hohner Amica 111 (design 2) which i seem to be getting on with. Back in the day i used to use a 120 bass, and thought nothing of picking it up and putting it on, but to be honest with degeneration of my disks, i find this a bit of a struggle at times with the 72 bass.
Kind regards. Mike
