Can anyone tell me how to access all the drum tones on this accordion? I only know how to turn on an off the drum sound when I am playing but am aware there are many more drums sounds to explore. I have the entire list of drum tones and it appears there are 127 of them but I do not know how to get to these sounds. My friend who plays violin is coming over in a half hour and she had been asking me about how we can layer in more of a soundscape. I might have to learn to do that on my bk-7m which I don’t know how to use yet but for now I just would like to access the drum sounds on the accordion. Thank you!

I'm sorry I don't have my accordion with me but this video will show you how to select "non register " sounds on the treble side of the fr4x, one of which is the drum sounds (I believe). I don't think you can access them on the bass side. I could be wrong, in which case someone will update.... Good luck!

Not sure on the 4X, but try this... on my 8X I set the accordion bass to to freebass mode and then activate drum sounds, each button will represent a different drum sound.

Interesting, thanks Jerry!

Pages 66 - 67 of the fr4x manual (available online) shows how to change the drum sounds (for the drums button). You can have one (of 128 possible) sounds for the alternate bass row, one when pushing a chord button, and one when releasing a chord button. These settings (along with some others) can be saved as a set.

Question is whether drums can be set as a valid orchestral sound for chord buttons or in free bass mode. I don't know. Someone does.

I’m not sure how or if possible in stradella mode, it does happen in free bass mode on my 8X.
Michael Bridge did in this rendition of the 1812 overture, on 8X and EVO.

You can set any drum sound you like to bass buttons, chord buttons...in freebass or in stradella mode. You can add several or just one, adjust the volume of each, how the bellows affect the level (or not) ,you can assign secondary sounds - all sorts of things ....BUT do not ask me how to do this on the FR itself, I wouldn't know, as I do ALL my editing in the PC Editing app...far FAR easier and quicker!

Thanks for the affirmation Joden!
