Dear Melodeonists,

Piano accordionist and accordion technician here. I have a lovely, vintage B/C Hohner Black Dot Double Ray in great condition that a client would like me to sell for him. It has what seems to be an old and not typical bass layout, shown here:

Not playing these myself, can you tell me if anyone would want this, or is it worth replacing the bass reeds?

Thank you.

Big Squeezy,
If you haven't already I recommend posting your question on 'melodeon.net'.
I've been there a few times when I've had repairs on diatonics and found the site members friendly and ready to pass on their knowledge.

Big Squeeze: I do apologise as I missed seeing that you had already contacted melodeon.net
I'm surprised you've had no response as there seems, to me, there's plenty of informed people on the site.
I suggest you contact Theo Gibb directly, a diatonic expert and administrator of 'melodeon.net' . My experience of Theo is his expertise and patience.
Good Luck
