This is my beloved accordion. I have some questions on the register switches. The one on the left is the highest register. One would think it's the lowest register but it is not. Why would that be? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
When I look at register switches on the internet I really don't find the names for the switches. All I can find is this: registers-1.gif
But this picture doesn't have the names written out like in this one: registers-2.gif

What would be the names of my switches?
Also, the second picture only have two lines whereas my accordion and the first picture have three lines. How do these two systems differ? The system with three lines seems less common.

Those switches are in the late 50's style. the dots are LMMH from bottom to top (if the leftmost in that picture is H as you say).

So I'm guessing the accordion is LMH and from left to right the switches are
H
LH
LMH (master)
MH
L

As Jim just said :)

Your photo shows the treble keyboard registers of your accordion, while the first drawing you included is a description of the the bass-side registers. The bass-side registration is entirely different than the keyboard side, and it will confuse you if you think it applies to the treble side.
